Captain underpants

Captain Underpants Games: The Captain Underpants books are a series of American children’s books by Dav Pilkey. The storyline is about two 4th graders called George Beard and Harold Hutchins. The boys write comic books about a superhero they call Captain Underpants, who wears only a red cape with black polka dots, and a pair of white underpants. Their creation gets unexpectedly realized when George and Harold, as a joke, hypnotize Mr. Krupp, the principal of their school, and get him to behave like Captain Underpants. So, now, whenever someone snaps their fingers, Mr. Krupp becomes Captain Underpants. He turns back into the principal if he has water poured over his head.
Various websites related to children and kids games have Captain Underpants games. For example, the Scholastic site has pictures of Captain Underpants and a number of Captain Underpants games. These include Underpants Versus Blunderpants, in which the player can play as either Captain Underpants, or battle a friend as Captain Underpants vs Captain Blunderpants. There is Captain Underpants and the Robo-Booger Roundup that requires the player to help Captain Underpants in rounding up the Robo-Boogers. There is Romping Robot Power Punchout where the players can go head to head as Robo-George and the Harold 2000 in a Robot Rumble. And then there is a make-your-own Captain Underpants comic where they can create and share their own adventures starring the Captain, or other characters. Plus, an arcade section full of mazes, and other fun games.
Captain Underpants Books: The Captain Underpants books were reported to be among the ten most frequently challenged books by the American Library Association. As a response, Pilkey included things like posters, advertising mindless conformity, school rules against using one's imagination, etc. He also brought out and illustrated The Adventures of Super Diaper Baby, a comic book drawn and written by George Beard and Harold Hutchins.
The Captain Underpants books often make references to things from the 1970s. Every book in the series has a set of commonalities. For example, the last phrase of a chapter is a question, which is answered by next chapter’s title. So, if a chapter ends in, "Where, oh where?"; the title of the next chapter will be "Here, oh here." Every book has one chapter with just a few words and at least one page, titled "To Make a Long Story Short". Each book begins with the chapter "George and Harold” and ends either with Mr. Krupp turning back into Captain Underpants or some other disaster, with George and Harold saying, "Oh no! Here we go again!”
Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People was the eighth book in the series, and the new book, Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Re-Turn of Tippy Tinkletrousers is just out.
The Adventures of Captain Underpants: Published in 1996, The Adventures of Captain Underpants was the first book of the series. The story begins with George Beard and Harold Hutchins and their practical jokes causing their school to lose a football game. Their headmaster, Mr. Krupp, gets so angry he makes them cater to his every whim all day long. If they fail in the allotted jobs or refuse, a tape of them playing the prank will be shown to the football team.
They, therefore, acquire a 3-D Hypno-Ring and hypnotize the principal to get the tape. As a prank, they hypnotize him to act like Captain Underpants. The Adventures of Captain Underpants chronicles what happens after that.
