Latest Telugu cinema news: The Telugu film industry is also known as Tollywood. This name is derived from the combination of the words Bollywood and Telugu. This film industry is based in India, in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Bhishma Pratigna was the first Telugu film made by R.S Prakash, in 1922. One of the most notable contributors to this film industry was Yaragudipati Varada Rao, from 1903-1973. Rao was an actor and director. The leading female stars of Telugu movies Genelia and Shriya get approximately Rs.30-40 lakhs, per film. This money largely depends on the number of days they are required to shoot.
